Help the Fishes Before They Drown

Freshmen are clueless on their first year of high school as they have to deal with tons of school work and struggle to balance everything in their lives. When I was a freshmen I scared out of my wits trying to keep up with my classes and still have fun at the same time. I think the thing that helped me survive freshmen year without being devoured by the seniors and school work was managing my time efficiently.
They should know how to balance their time and know when it's time to work and the appropriate time to chill. Freshmen should set their priorities straight and realize they should do homework first before going to a party or hanging out with friends to avoid the next day rushing during tutorial to finish the homework you could have done earlier.
Another key piece of advice for them is keep up with their classes and the work the teachers give them. I think they should be on top of their schedule and know when each homework is due to avoid failing grades, teachers on their back telling them to finish, and maybe even detention for failure of turning in work.
The last and most final piece of advice I can give to this year's freshmen is to enjoy and live every moment of their freshmen year. When school events come up I think they should take pictures and have fun with their friends. Your only a freshmen once.
